Target turnaround for the Laboratory is 6 working days.
The average turnaround for 2006 was 8.12 working days
The average turnaround for 2007 was 7.13 working days
The turnaround in 2007 was a great improvement on 2006 and this was obtained due to extra equipment which enable more efficient operations.
In 2008, we are introducing a new Laboratory Information Management System (Lims) which will allow quicker throughput of samples. We expect this to even further reduce our turnaround time.
