Few IPPC licences have a requirement for Dioxins and Furans however EURO environmental service has developed an in house monitoring procedure for measuring these substances.
Manufacturing processes in the paper, pesticide, herbicide, waste and wood pulping would normally have a requirement for Dioxin and Furan monitoring. These are normally produced during a bleaching process within these industries.
Dioxins and Furans can also occur when coal is burnt, cement manufacturing or copper smelted.
Dioxins are apart of a larger group of toxic substance which if are released into the environment can have harmful effects on the atmosphere and human life.
Dioxins can cause cancer to humans and animals and adverse effects on the environment.
EURO environmental services have spent a number of years developing a method to measure Dioxins and Furans.
We carry out monitoring to BSEN 1948.
