Intrusive Site Investigation, Leicester

MIA Developments, requested EURO environmental services to carry out an assessment of an old industrial property in Leicester they were proposing to purchase with the view of converting the site to a residential development with 82 apartments.

 

The site was constructed in 1904, and up to this point was a Greenfield site. It had operated as a textile company up to the mid 1980s, when it was sold on and converted into industrial space utilised by a number of smaller business activities.

 

EURO environmental services carried out a full Phase 1 and Phase 2 investigation to BS 10175:2001, reviewing the historical activities of the site. This involved intrusive investigations on the site and analysis of soil samples in our UKAS and INAB accredited analytical laboratories. This investigation was used as part of a successful planning application for the site.
