An assimilative capacity survey of the River Barrow was conducted, utilising historic and direct measured flow data as well as establishing the quality of the receiving waterbody.
Assimilative capacity was calculated for BOD, Nitrate, Orthophosphate, Ammonia and Nitrite, indicating that the receiving waterbody had adequate available assimilative and dilution capacity for the discharge from the proposed development.
Our Assimilative capacity findings were then used as part of a successful discharge application to Kildare County Council for a discharge licence.
