Air emissions monitoring on the commissioning of a gas turbine
EURO environmental services carried out performance testing of a new 400MW gas turbine on behalf of a Japanese contractor recently commissioned in North County Dublin.
Monitoring was carried out to determine the emission rates on a range of outputs at 50, 65 and 100 per cent.
Monitoring was carried out for low level particulates over 2 hour monitoring periods SO2, NOx, and oxygen.
Comparatives were also made to continuous emissions monitoring systems.
Extensive monitoring was carried out over a 14 day period to ensure compliance with stringent emission limit values.
