Our organics team can now carry out formaldehyde analysis by HPLC to very low levels.
Formaldehyde is used as a preservative in the wood pulping industry for plywood, fibreboard and door manufacturing.
It is also used as an industrial fungicide / disinfectant as a preservative for dead bodies in mortuaries and medical laboratories.
It is commonly requested for occupational monitoring, with current OSHA occupational exposure limits of 0.75ppm.
Our current detection limit is 0.05ug/tube, which over an 8 hour monitoring period will provide a limit of detection well below the existing exposure limit.
