Our analytical services division have recently developed an analytical method for the low level detection of Bromate in water to 2.5ug/L.
Under the EC Drinking Water Regs SI 278 of 2007, the limit of Bromate in drinking water is 25ug/L up to the 24th December 2008.
After 25th December 2008, this limit will reduce to 10ug/L. EURO environmental services limit of detection is suitable for the lower limit.
Bromate is produced during the ozone treatment of drinking water and is a known toxin.
If you require any further details on this analysis, or any other of our analytical testing methods for drinking water please do not hesitate to contact Katherine Mc Quillan in analytical services on (+353) 41 9845440.
