QAL2 – Calibration of the AMS (CEMS)
This is a procedure to determine the calibration function and its variability, and a test of the variability of the measured values of the
AMS compared with the uncertainty given by legislation. A calibration function is established from the results of a number of parallel measurements performed with a Standard Reference Method (
SRM). The variability of the measured values against the
AMS is then evaluated against the required uncertainty.
Again, measurements are to be carried out by a testing company accredited to ISO 17025. The standard requires at least 15 parallel measurements spread over three days.
