BS EN 13526 – Determination of Total Organic Carbon (high range) using FID analyser

Flame Ionisation Detection is used to determine the volume of organic carbon present in an emission stream. The measurement principle is the determination of an ionisation current resulting from the combustion or organic compounds in a hydrogen flame. This current depends on the number of C atoms burning in the fuel gas flame, the form of bonding and the bonding partners.
