Nutrient Management Plans
The aim of a Nutrient Management Plan is to protect the groundwaters in
Ireland from agricultural pollution.
There are a number of important factors which need to be taken into account when preparing an NMP. Rainfall, irrigation and soil types are among these factors. Perhaps soil is the most important and should be tested on a regular basis for Potassium, Phosphorus and pH. The results of this testing can then be used to recommend or adjust accordingly the levels of fertiliser, lime, manure or any other additive that needs to be imported into the soil to increase productivity.
EURO environmental services carry out detailed Nutrient Management Plans providing information on the fertilizers, the soil analysis and crop requirements. EURO can also test the soil for P, N and K in house and provides a very fast turnaround time for soil analysis.
